This hack is as simple as it gets: All (required) Adam text and all Samus monologues have been removed from the game. The intro cutscene is removed as well. You still have to step on the pad in the Navigation Rooms, but there is no text so the box just disappears immediately. Everything else in the game remains unchanged.

Use LunarIPS to patch your unmodified Metroid Fusion ROM.

Future plans:
* Remove the need to step on Navigation Room pads altogether
* Maybe remove Navigation Rooms altogether(?)
* Speed up item fanfare
* Remove SA-X cutscene after taking the main elevator for the first time

If you have any feedback/criticism let me know.

Pretty straightforward honestly. It's just a faster version of the game; and it's great. Removing the need to step on nav pads or the nav rooms altogether seems tricky, but that would make the game feel even more streamlined. Not that I don't love and appreciate Fusion's story as a game, but it is interesting to be able to just play straight through having beaten the game numerous times already with all of the dialogue boxes (which I find myself skipping through at times anyway).

If you wanted to make the game even faster, you could probably remove the long pauses upon first obtaining an item as well, and just turn it into the quick text box with an "acquired" sound effect.

This is a great idea and I will look into doing that.

Steel Sparkle

a nice little idea for those who like the game but don't really wanna see all that dialogue and stuff a 50th time.

Chemical-X

Sweet I was waiting on someone to do this now.  :nod:

I like it! I don't really care about the story of a Metroid game. Kill the brain thing and escape before you get blown up is all I need, really. This is exactly the kind of hack/mod I like. I was actually planning on making a script "improvement" hack which removes all the story stuff and changes up item names and such, but since this already exists I don't need to.
