Hello people. It is I, the almighty alexman25! I've been working on a NEStroid hack for quite some time now, and I think it's about time I make a post about it on the forums. It's called "Vectroid". It's just going to be a basic layout hack, but I went with a sort of unique art style. I decided to make everything wire framed. Simple, but easily breeds creativity.

The areas are also going to be renamed.
New area names are as follows:

Norfair: The Logicless Labyrinth
Kraid: The Edge of Space
Ridley: The Dragon's Den
Tourian: The Terminal Lair[/spoiler]

This whole idea sprouted from a simple thought I had: "What if Metroid was made of glowsticks?"


Any feedback and/or criticism is welcome. I'm almost done replacing the graphics, after that It's just a matter of finishing the level design.

Quick update, everyone. I'm nearly done with Brinstar and Ridley, and Norfair is coming along great (it's gonna be fairly large)

I have quite a catalogue already with self made songs, you may take a look at them and choose. Or i could write entirely new tracks as well.

A little of both. While I still intend to finish the hack, I likely won't be able to work on it for a long time. More an indefinite hiatus than being dead.
