How do I change Torizo's starting state/animation?

 Torizo of course enjoys breaking out of his statue from a casual sitting position, facing left. After a good stretch and blinking the sleep from his eyes, Torizo is ready for the big day ahead of him.

Can we dispense with the theatrics? It's been 20 years for chrissake. WE ALL KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE, TORIZO. IT'S NOT SCARY ANY MORE.

I'd like to set Torizo up so that he is in his falling, facing right pose. Is this as simple as changing an animation pointer in his startup code? Or is there more to the story?

And yes I assumed Torizo's gender.

DB 00 @ 15495F is starting x-pos.
B3 00 @ 154963 is starting y-pos.

There's some notes in the DNA that explains how to avoid this & place in smile.
If you change the y-pos to say 30 00, he'll at least fall after the statue crumbles...

I did get that far. He falls, and I can put him where I want. I want to skip the butt-slam though, and start off falling in the upright position. As when he's jumping backwards.
