Anyone know where I can find Super Randomtroid hack?  I did look up on google and I only see bunch of word, android phone.

Metaquarius

Super Randomtroid is not a hack AFAIK.
This is a simple program that moves around items in Super Metroid. It is used for racing the game.
You can get all info here : http://smrandomizer.codeplex.com/releases/view/97764
I haven't tried it yet since I'm pretty much sick of the original game layout right now, no matter item locations are changed or not.

Next step, random maps ! :bounce:

Thank you, Meta.  Oh moving around the item.   Oh boy.  *scratch my head*  Hope not it is not hard to get it as require item and stuff.   If they use same place where item is, then that will be wonderful.    Unheader, right?  Never mind.  Didn't know it is exe.

It can make the game harder or easier. I found this little gem to be fun as hell. I had an easy one though because I got gravity and speedbooster as soon as I reached brinstar, but it's definitely possible to have a suitless norfair run without hi-jump boots for the majority fo the game

I will try to play this hack when I finish with Zelda Classic.

Prime Hunter

Gave this a spin last night with a random seed. Game decided to give me a super and a power bomb as the first two expansions beyond the standard start up to Torizo, allowing me to break into Brinstar through the Morph area and bypass the entire western section. Backtracked to where Charge is and found Varia before collecting the Speed Booster on my way to Kraid. I had a lot of fun doing things backwards because of the item order. I actually died at Crocomire because I hadn't found any beam upgrades by the time I got to him and I barely had enough missiles and supers to get him to the end if I didn't screw up. He gave me Plasma down where Grapple is though so I'd consider that a fair trade.

What really surprised me is that the game doesn't limit itself on the number of expansions so you can be incredibly lucky like I was or the game could probably mess with you if it feels like it. I ended up with 23 e-tanks, 110 missiles, 75 supers, and 100 power bombs once I was done. No wonder it felt like those e-tanks were everywhere!

How do you actually play one of these?  I downloaded the randomizer but it says its a seed file.  I'm looking for something a little different with Super Metroid.  I appreciate any help.

Putting in seeds is optional and an option that exists if you want to share the specific randomization you got with others. Every time you generate a randomization with the program, a seven number seed is created, prefaced by a single letter which relates to the difficulty you chose. C5473221 would be a casual difficulty seed for example.

Casual leaves most of the items in the game. Normal/speedrun difficulty drops about half the items and makes Charge Beam exist at four separate locations (that way you have a better chance of completion). Masochist is a step away from low% only keeping 3 Missiles, Supers, and Power packs in, forcing suitless underwater, no Screw Attack or Plasma or Gravity Suit, and only 3 Energy Tanks.

I'm not sure if it's still there because I don't use the program all that often anymore, but there should be a tab at the top of the program to use an older version of the randomizer. Instead of randomizing every item and excluding some like the newer version does, the older version will randomize major power-ups and Reserve Tanks (could find Screw Attack at Brinstar Reserve) and Missiles, Super Missile, Power Bombs, and Energy Tanks with each other all while not excluding any items.

Have fun.
