So, this could be a very easy fix, but in editing the intro I've found a consistent problem. Whenever I try to see if the intro works, the first text box skips straight to the last one. Is this because the <MOVIE> scripts aren't in the edited intro?

This is exactly what I have typed:

THE LIFE OF A BOUNTY HUNTER IS
NEVER BORING. AFTER ELIMINATING
MOTHER BRAIN AND, BY EXTENSION,
THE METROIDS, I WAS IMMEDIATELY
CALLED FOR ANOTHER MISSION.
<WAIT>
RIDLEY, DESPITE SEEMINGLY
MEETING HIS DEMISE AT MY HANDS,
SOMEHOW RETURNED AND RALLIED
THE REMAINING SPACE PIRATES.
<WAIT>
THEY INVADED THE LUSH,GREEN,
FOREST FILLED PLANET AQSL,
TURNING IT FROM THE PEACEFUL
PARADISE IT WAS TO A MECHANICAL NIGHTMARE.
<WAIT>
IMMEDIATELY AFTER HEARING THIS,
I BOARDED MY SHIP AND FLEW OFF
TO THE PLANET, BEGINNING WHAT
WAS TO BE CALLED THE
AQSL LIBERATION MISSION.

(NOTE: This text was a test to see how it worked. I was just screwing around with a potential story.)

Having briefly tested it, it looks like you can only have one <WAIT> command. Normally the <MOVIE> commands are used to allow more screens of text. You could shorten your story; add one whole screen, <WAIT>, than have another full screen (if all of your text will fit on two screens); or break it up with your own movies, as was done recently in Hyper Metroid.
