Hacks Using OpenEmu

I am on a Mac running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.2. I can't seem to get the roms to work with OpenEmu. They download as an .ips file and I zipped it and it still will not load up Help? Thanks!

An .ips is a patch, not a rom.  Go read http://beta.metroidconstruction.com/howto.php
