Really wondering if I should bother

Would it be worthwhile to redraw all of SM Samus's sprites to fit the same style? To make the sprites more consistent and the animations less jigsawy? Or are the originals "good enough"?

Quietus

I would say it depends on how serious you are about your project. If it's the same one you showed us elsewhere, I'd say it'd definitely something you could release for sale, but if you did that, you'd need to replace Samus anyway. If it's just something you're releasing for fun, or just to be working on something, then it may not be worthwhile.

Not looking for money, only for a team.

So, are you looking to have it blend in with other sprites you've created, or more with the scenery? If it's the other sprites, it'd probable worth doing, as it may become a bit of an eyesore if the sprite quality varies while playing. If it's the sprites differing from the scenery, then I'd say it's not as important, as this is fairly common in games.

Quietus

From what I can see, that doesn't look much different to yours, but it looks like it's using a filter.

Damski

I think your current sprites are very well made and its nice that you have blended old with new sprites. If u are making metroid fangame then the current approach  are Imo pretty good.
