Good call on Mana. I love that game. My only gripe with it has always been that you stand no realistic chance of getting all your weapons to level 9.

Psh.

I 100%ed it in a couple of days playing on and off when I was backpacking through Europe and crashed at a friends' place. On a real SNES. :P

Favourite games?!
If I were to do some kind of a top 10 in no particular order it would be:

Super Metroid (probably obvious)
The Elder Scrolls series
Various Pokemons
Fallout 3
Super Mario World
Age of Empires II
Heroes of Might and Magic III
The "Ace Attorney" series
Dark Cloud
Final Fantasy X

The Envoy of the Beginning

Besides the obvious Super Metroid (and the first two Prime games):

  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Pokemon: HeartGold and SoulSilver
  • Megaman X2 and X6
  • Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues
  • Uniracers
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee

There are others, but those are the first to come to my mind.

You must have some serious luck on your side. I've made various save files over the years, and have never managed to 100% the weapons without resorting to an Action Replay, and that's after spending an obscene amount of hours running through the mana fortress to get them.

Oh cool you've played bloodborne? I bought it on a great sale but haven't gotten very far at all since I can't seem to get into it. The controls feel terrible in my opinion. Does the game get good enough later on to make it worth it? Otherwise I'm just going to sell it.

Technomagus

Some of my favorite games and series In no particular order:

Xenogears
Final Fantasy 6
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana

Wild Arms 3
Megaman X (and Sequels)
Persona 3
Persona 4
Legacy of Kain: Defiance
Gundam Battle Assault 2

Guilty Gear (and Sequels)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (and Sequels)
Mass Effect (and Sequels)

Haha, I wouldn't have called this one of my favourites, buy that game is great, and it has such charm. I always loved getting the Dragon Claw, and the way that when you attacked an enemy, it would flash up about ten messages saying that they were strong against whatever status effect, then they'd instantly die anyway.

I'm actually quite terrible at the games, being able to barely string together a basic combo, but I like the characters and storylines.  I main Haku-Men and the Murakumos in BB, and Dizzy and May in GG.

I am not the best person to recommend Bloodborne, because I am heavily biased. Miyazaki and his Souls games (plus Bloodborne), I worship. So of course the game is incredible. But it's one of those love it or hate it games. If you think the control is awful, then dont bother with it or the other Souls games; because the earlier games control worse. I love the game though. So addicitve. Maybe try accepting it for what it is and sticking with it. The game speaks volumes, but quietly. You just have to listen closely.

Other games beside Metroid? Hmm... In no particular order...

- Age of Empires 2 (Conquerors Expansion/HD Edition)
- Age of Mythology (Titals Expansion/Steam's Edition)
- StepMania (Basically, a simulator of Dance Dance Revolution, Pump It Up, and many other game types.)
- Super Smash Brothers (Series)
- Megaman Battle Network (Series)
- Megaman Legends (Series)
- Grand Theft Auto (Series)
- Metal Gear (Series)
- Dance Dance Revolution (Series)
- Frequency (PS2)
- The Legend of Dragoon (PS1)

- Nintendo games. (in general.)

That is all I can really think of. Not really much of a hardcore gamer. I am a casual gamer.

Edit: How did I forget my favorite RPG? (Okay, there we go.)
