Bal al Turok

Hello guys my name is Bal al Turok and I'm totally new when it comes to hacking in general, but i've seen so many good hacks on my favorite game through all time Super Metroid, that i wanted to give it a try. My goal is to make a fullhack. I know you heard it all before and its much more likely that if the first project becomes anything it probably will be a mini. But hey you gotta dream right. Thanx to all the great guides you guys have provided and through a little bit of hard work I am actually starting to get somewhere, but there's one thing that's completely got me puzzled, and its probably a complete noobthing as well. How do i make the maptiles in the startscreenmap hidden, do i have to use the ones that are already in the map, like for Crateria, or is there a really simple thing i'm missing. I'm sorry if there already exists a thread on this topic, but I haven't seen one and I usually look through everything on this site, because i really hate to ask for help. I would be really greatful for answers cause this thing really bothers me.

P.s. I dont know if I should thank or curse you but a special shoutout to Metroid MST, Grime and Shadow 34370, cause if it wouldn't have been for your noobfriendly guides I probably wouldn't be as hooked on this drug as I am.

First of all welcome to MetConst!

In the map editor there's a checkbox with the text "Mapping Station Reveals tile", uncheck that and the tile won't be revealed when you get the map via the map station.

Thanx Mon 732 for the quick answer. As i suspected it was a relly simple thing, so i feel really stupid now actually.  I wonder how that could go me by???
