[SM] Beam trail pathways

What determines the behavior of a specific beam's trails? I've been tinkering with Black_Falcon's beam trail guide, but these pointers seem to only determine how the trails look and what they do after they appear. There must be something else to it... If you give wave+spazer and spazer the same beam trail behavior pointer, they behave wildly different. What determines this?

Are you looking to understand it more, or just edit it?  You mentioned that you checked the guide, but have you looked at Black Falcon's Projectiler?

Alright, Projectiler had the information I needed to find the right tables. Awesome. I'll be posting some new goodies in the splasma thread very soon...
