Is there any kind of room generator?

I was wondering if there were any tools out there to generate metroid style rooms?

What do you mean by "generate metroid style rooms"? Do you mean like a random map generator that would just create maps as a picture or like a random rom generator or what?

I mean like the rooms, not the map. Sort of like place platforms, walls, doors etc. I wasn't sure if there was anything out there like that.

I am prototyping a game and wanted to get some rooms built to test with. I was hoping to find something that would be able to generate even a picture with walls, platforms etc. placed. They do not have to be playable in any way.

While nothing like that exists, you could probably poke through the Room of the Week Archives and get a few samples of whatever you might be looking for, assuming you just want the pictures as a general guideline.
