Thanks I figured it out.

One other question:
should I have Spazer and X-Ray before I go to Maridia? Just got the Gravity Suit.
BTW, I love the hack Drewseph. I was one of the people who quit Redesign before even scratching the surface of it because it was way too unfair. Axeil is difficult but it's much less punishing. Crateria Depths can go suck my nuts though, sorry. Underwater without Gravity Suit is never fun.
Neither are required, but Spazer REALLY helps when dealing with random enemies in Maridia. X-ray could be useful for finding guardians, but that's about it IIRC.
Geez... is Tourain even possible in V1.0? I mean, obviously it is, but holy crap. Gonna update to V1.1, even though I didn't see much about the metroids in the Readme.

Will say that the guardian hunting was fun. Love how you implemented them in this and the original.

Mind giving me a bit of a hint to their locations?

Also what do I do here? Unmorphing is disabled in this section. (pic in spoiler)

I enjoyed the original Redesign, but once I finished I knew I would NEVER play it again  :evilno:

...I'm definitely interested in this new version, though!

Is there a v1.2 coming relatively soon?  I've been following this, still seeing some complaints and just wondering if anything is still getting changed up.  If not, I'll get to it!  :bounce:

Omegatroid

So far I got the Spazer, Wave beam and Speed Booster. I notice some difference than the original Redesign one.

For that morphball puzzle, I came back after I got spacejump. It makes it much easier as you can bypass that first area.

As for the guardians:
Quote from: Drewseph on April 10, 2015, 12:39:55 AM
the guardians are usually spread out so that there are western central and eastern
I've included more specific hints though. Open at your own discretion.

Just off of the landing site, use powerbombs.

In a large northern room, check the ceiling.

In the long, vertical room with the save before Bomb Torizo.

In the southwest area there is a room that looks like it belongs in Maridia.

There is an item room a little southeast of the first elevator, look behind there. You have to find buttons for and unlock two gates.

Remember the Varia Suit?

There is an unbreakable noob tube. Return after Ridley

There is a hidden entrance in a ceiling sand pit in the Northwest area. There are some gates that block the path that are accessable from nearby rooms.

Southeast area, there is a path blocked by a gate. The switch is blocked by a gray door. Return after Drygon.

There's a room in the central-western area with lava on the ground. Go lay some powerbombs.

There's a 1x1 room in northern lower Norfair.

There's a large room in the Southeast corner with a speedbooster passageway on the west wall.

JSnake

Oh, I meant the Spazer and X-Ray. I'd like to hunt for the Guardians on my own but I'm getting a bit tired of wandering around without those two items.
In Southwestern Crateria, there is a room with rocks that roll out of the walls and chase you. Speedbooster will be required after you find the passageway.

In the room with Brinstar's main elevator, check the floor.
JSnake

Thank you very much.

BTW, Stardust is one of my favorite hacks. Hope you make another like it at some point. :)

Not a problem. I've had one on the back burner for a little over four years now. Axiel has renewed my interest in it though, so I'll be working on it. http://forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php/topic,839.0.html [/hijacking_thread]

I think the time should be alot higher, alot of deaths throughout.
the guardian over
varia
gave me the most trouble lol, i still cant get the turbo bomb technique, not even once. tourain was confusing. i dislike the amount of long morph tunnels with the slow ball speed and the morph lock drives me crazy. really liked the lost caverns, cool solution/clue. i like how massive the game is, makes me feel like a kid being lost again. phantoon is super random gets looped into the super missle counter alot. the look up/down feature is genius same with the hint system please make these available for other hacks. I played this on my snes and it all seemed to work fine? thanks for spending a childs life on this, now to try and figure out the early power bombs, though tourain is still tourain so the challenge is gonna be silly. Are you referring to the Infinite Bomb Jump (IBJ)?  If so, I did a tutorial video a few years ago that should help.  Drewseph mentioned that he tinkered slightly with the mechanics of the move, but I didn't really notice any difference, and I was IBJing all over the place in Axeil. :^_^:

personitis

Timing/bomb placement is still about the same, though a bit more lenient. I found the most prominent difference is that the radius for which the bombs will propel the Morph Ball was increased a bit, thus making it a bit easier to get it started and keep it going.

I always wanted to do a detailed map of Redesign, but we could not see the rooms in Smile.
When I downloaded the patch I immediately looked and we can with Axeil.
Thank you Drewseph for this great game I enjoyed it a lot.
Spoiler alert: Almost every detailed of the game are on the map. But if you're lost it can be very useful.

So here's another map in our collection. Please tell me if you see any mistake because I started with v1.

Drewseph

The items you listed are for patch 1.0.  I've since swapped around some Etanks for super missile 2 packs which were switched for 1 packs.

Great map so far!  I suggest using the title from the website instead.  Also how difficult a time did you have piecing together tourian?

I swapped some items after 1.1 but I'm not sure to have them all.
The title is changed. Good idea, thank you.
For Tourian I felt like mounting a puzzle that I realized playing the game.

Thanks I'll have to check that out after work, the strategy guide for super metroid lists IBJ as the turbo bomb technique Lol I'm just bringing it back.

Not sure why, but it doesn't load in the latest version of Firefox. "cannot be displayed because it contains errors." Works fine in Chrome though. Thank you for the map! I'll be trying not to use it for 100%, but it's good to know that it's there.

You make it looks so easy...  :stern: I'll have to practice after work; there are a few areas that I can only think of reaching by using IBJ.

Can someone explain to me the trick for getting through the Lost Caverns? I'm bad at puzzles like this. :O_o:

If you really want to know, read on, but it's obviously a spoiler:
Hint first:
The room before the cavern has strange poles, which offer your clue for finding the correct path.
More obvious hint:
Follow the pattern in reverse order.
Sorry, I'm not quite understanding.
What do you mean by "starting with the smaller platform"? When I'm going "over," am I going over the top of both platforms or just one? I assume by "down the hole" you mean the mini morphball tunnel. I've followed your exact pattern a million times and am not getting anywhere. What do I do once I fall down the hole? It just drops me off at the top of the second platform.

He means the very first platform after entering the door. You can either go above or below. Every platform afterwards (going right) is the next "Step", either above or below. Once you fall down the hole, go right; I had made the mistake of not doing that last step and probably missed the door countless times. I'm not 100% sure on the pattern though, and with my savestates, I can't go back and recheck it.

In the room before the Lost Caverns, start at the far right, and go left. Remember the pattern of the light poles as far as up/down, and translate that in to above/below. The last light pole is indicating down the hole.
The answer was on the previous page. You may have other questions later that may have also been previously answered. If you've the time, I recommend reading through the six pages of this thread.

EPBC Complete.  Power Bombs acquired.

And no, I won't reveal it unless Drewseph specifically states he's happy for me to do so. :heheh:

When the readme says it grants immediate access, does that mean that it's possible to complete immediately, or does it just mean I need gear but no guardians?
