I always wondered why M2K2 didn't start trying to send over their hacking people here earlier, since most of the staff over there have never really liked us hacking people.

While you are true uNsane, you're look at it the wrong way.
The m2k2 don't really care much for hacking and the hacking people have given them some trouble at some points so I can see why they don't like those people. But I don't think they dislike people who hack in general.

Well, M2K2 was always meant to be a Metroid speedrunning/general Metroid discussion forum.  Then Super Metroid hacks became popular, a board was set up for them, and hackers flocked to M2K2.  You can see why the mods dislike hacking there--it's not how the forum was meant to be.  We, on the other hand, are a hacking forum, where hackers belong.  That's most likely why they want to move the hackers here.

Why do I find it necessary to bump this topic whenever some new info pops up?

Discussion of this hack, and almost every other hack being made by members of MetConst aren't being talked about on m2k2 anymore, as most of the hackers do not like it here anymore (not to mention the new Taiga format which drove most of them away)

Quietus is correct that GF_Kennon is still working on this project, and he updates on it everyonce in awhile at MetConst and its IRC channel on esper.net .  

I'd like to also point out that I also haven't been posting about my projects here since the Taiga forum has come about. Not because I personally don't like it, but because the consensus of the hacking population doesn't like it.

This should explain the recent decline in activity on this board eh? ;D

We've had some m2k2ers come around since it switched to Taiga, but will this one comment I posted bring even more?  I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Well, personally, I was a bit iffy about coming to Metconst to start with. Now I rarely ever go to M2K2.

The way I see it now, most people who were at M2K2 are now at Metconst, so for anyone thinking about switching over but not sure about it, it may be a new site, but there's the same people here. Aren't the people who post on a forum the ones that make it what it is? So if you think about it, it's not really unfamiliar territory =)
