This is a hack of Metroid, in which all of the main items in the game have been moved to different locations. It is a very simple hack, but with the items in different places, it changes the game's progression quite a bit.  It's a good one to try after you beat regular Metroid.  This hack also includes the Metroid + Saving Mod as the overworld is in the exact same shape, so the map will work and the password system can get quite annoying. This is my first hack and it can be downloaded here.  https://www.dropbox.com/s/8xc75kga511cpzi/Metroid%20Relocated%20Items%20Hack.nes    Also, I will be posting all of my new hacks here ( http://ganon35hacks.blogspot.com/ ) and on this site if any of you are interested in what I might make. Please give feedback on what you thought of the game.

Yes, it sounds like a simple hack but you have to give yourself credit for taking the initiative to start it in the first place, and then see the changes to the end.  You have to start somewhere.  I would encourage you to take it to the next level and dive into some area modifications and even some graphics altering if you think you would enjoy the challenge.  There are several active Metroid hackers on this site that wouldn't mind helping you with any questions.

BTW - did you use Editroid to move the items or did you use some other method to hack it?

I used Editroid.  I have been working on a hack that is a full hack of Metroid, with a completely different map.  I'm about one third of the way done, but of course, there are still some problems to work out.  The order in which you get the items will seem a bit more strict, but if you know where the secret passages are, I intend to make it possible to beat the game with only the High Jump Boots, Maru Mari, Bombs, and Missiles.

You should check out my recent tutorials regarding terrain and scrolling transitions, they may help you come up with some interesting ideas for your hack.
