SMILE testing took a crap on me or what?

Okay so every time I try to test a room ZSNES loads the Nintendo logo and then just stays black, I know the ROM isn't bad because if I load it normally it plays just fine, but when I have to load an in depth room in the middle of wherever sometimes that can't even be accessed in the main game yet, it won't load, any solutions? Probably something stupid but eh, it's worth asking.

Did you try turning it off and on again?
Maybe it's something in the room itself, an unused PLM or the pointer's bad, something. That's usually been the case with me.

I've shut it off and nothing, tested on multiple rooms, some even untouched, same issue, also the rooms play in game but they aren't the ones I'm more focused on seeing the in-game result of

That happens to me with Snes9X if I do something that crashes the sound for it. In my case, the fix is as easy as muting and un-muting the audio again. Not sure if your fix is the same since it's a different emu. Deleting quickmet.srm is another pretty good catch-all fix for when the game acts weird after quickmetting.

If it's crashing in untouched rooms this may be a different issue, but from my experiences that mostly happens from either a enemy having the wrong values (or being wrongly placed entirely), or from a plm in the top left corner. If you accidentally overwrote some data somewhere there's no telling what could be wrong. Incorrectly overwriting data has very strange results, none of which are good.

If you're not too far in the project, you could post the ips here  (or in private to someone) and have us/them take a look at it if you can't ever figure it out. Usually it's just a minor oversight, but it's hard to diagnose blindly.

Apparently cutting out quickmet.smc and quickmet.bin running it, then copying them back fixed it, although I'll post again if something else goes screwy.
