Enemy E5FF Speed boost friend

Hi,   Does anyone know how to do one of the following 2 mentioned things regarding the enemy with the ID 'E5FF' (the speed booster friend in brinstar in original).

1. This is preference no.1, where in the rom would you change the Scroll X Axis (normal being '04') as to where the enemy does it's super jump?
2. This is preference no. 2, how would you go about disabling the enemy being able to super jump, but rather just have the enemy run about freely with no superjump?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou...

In regards to No. 2, I've messed with this stuff a decent amount, and if you remove all the pieces (it has like 5 or something like that) and just leave one, and dont give it enough room to shinespark in, it should do that, roughly.

This is a terrible example, but should give you a idea of how they act. Ignore the glowing and flashlight, that's me just experimenting and being silly.

Thankyou for your input FOF, however an hour or 2  after posting the question, I happened to find the answer to preference 1 all by myself. I didn't think I could do it, but turns out I found it myself through experimentation...
       For anyone else that might want to know the location in rom to change where enemy E5FF does it's superjump, go to 13F69E (PC ADDRESS)---normally the scroll 'X' axis is set to '04' change this to the equivelant scroll you now want the enemy to do it's superjump...
      Also the byte before that location has not been tested but I suspect that would be the 'X' Axis position within the set scroll as to where the enemy does the superjump in that scroll, I am very confident...
