Is horizontal bomb jumping possible?

Hi. I'm trying to do a sequence break in the Super Metroid - ZFactor hack which involves crossing a lake of water (specifically the lake before Gravity Suit). I've tried doing a horizontal bomb jump but it always goes diagonally upwards. Is it actually possible and does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks

Unless the physics have been altered, it should be possible. Check this.

Terminology will hold you back here.  Are you referring to performing a standard double bomb-jump at an angle or laying a continuous stream of bombs to slowly edge across the screen, like you can going upward.  The former is possible; the latter is TAS only.  It would also depend on how far you wish to travel horizontally.  It's possible to cross a gap that is 11 tiles wide (landing on the 12th tile) without any tool assistance by doing a diagonal bomb-jump.  It's one of the tricks used to cross the missile lake in the original game without the Grappling Beam.
