With zsnes, type F1 during the game and a window pop up, select "save snapshot" and a .bmp file will be save in the same folder than your rom.  :^_^:

Quietus

Of course, the better option is to set your own key for taking screenshots.

In ZSNES it's: MISC > MISC KEYS > SNAPSHOT
In snes9x it's: Config > Hotkeys... > Save Screenshot

:^_^:

Thanks both :3, so helpful. I'd like to think I will finish this this summer.

Perhaps I should call it silver metroid? Looks awful :P

How does a recolor of the menu look? Don't hold back, because, somehow it helps :3

Here, I have a problem, as this is the room that I load into, even though I saved.....

here, I pop up....

in this room, in the door to the right. I do not know how to switch the save room to the other room...which has the save station...

Smiley

Make sure you set your area load stations correctly.

Cloud20

Cool! New updates!y
You should be do match colors of map and mini map (mini map in grey), but i'm sure that you already thought about it. :)
For save station wrong loading, use "save stations" fonction on smile, i'm not an expert on it because i don't use save rooms in my hack, but I will try to be more precise and study closely lthe question. Also, someone more experimented can be help you.  :^_^:

Quietus

There's also squishy's guide in the Docs section. :^_^:

Yeah, I don't know why, but I'm forgetting everytime docs sections. :^_^: Informations on it can be very useful, but I looked it a long time ago and don't really remember every solved problems and tips. However, members bring a lot of interesting guides for this kind of bugs/problems.

Okay, I'm working on TLP, but I don't know how to switch tiles without affecting the same one as the one I put on there, but I'm trying to flip it so it will make the image complete, or do I only need to change one side to affect both? I don't know how to put two of the same tiles on and flip one of them without affecting the other. I've watched shadow's videos on it, but he doesn't tell you how to do so without affecting the same tile, or save the tile so the changes stay.

Quietus

Basically, once you've dragged a tile to another square to copy it, you need to click on the new tile to select it, otherwise the old one is still active, and any flipping will affect it instead of the new copy.

Also, it sounds like you're trying to use the same 8x8 tile for different corners of a 16x16 tile, having flipped it.  You do not need to do this.  If your tile has corners (8x8) that are the same, you only need to create one corner in TLP.  You then use the Graphics Editor in SMILE to use the same 8x8 tile two, three, or four times, and us the flipping there to create the whole tile.  Not only is this easier, but it also saves space.

Thanks for the info, in case if any of you haven't noticed, there is a poll for the color's of the first suit's in the game.

Cloud20

Hum... silver and blue could be cool... depending from which genre of other suits you plan (Varia/Gravity) :)

Thanks, but now that I think about it, if I have silver and blue...I might be sort of stealing your suit palette from your hack Cloud :P.
EDIT: how can people POSSIBLY edit the color's of a metroid using TLP?! HOW!?

Oh yeah lol. In fact, at least, this is my point of view, don't make dark yellow/red or orange/red for suit, because beauty salon offer a lot of possibilities and it's a pity to take original suits, but of course this is my point a view :)

Edit metroid? Hum, the best way is to use directly palette for an enemy. But if you want to change more precisely with tlp, go to smile, export your enemy palette and insert it in TLP, after find the enemy tiles of metroid and edit graphics elements as you want. I'm hoping this is hopeful  :^_^:

I think I'll export the palette for the Metroid in case I make any errors. I already knew what you said above, but thanks for saying so anyways :3.
EDIT: this is what I got when I edited the palette directly 0.o.

Ow! This is strange. I'm not sure editing directly the palette of an enemy make this :s
This is landing site isn't? Be sure to set good palette number for enemies added with samus ship, it's an annoying part. Try this :
ID                              Palette Number
D07F (Ship piece)         0002
D0BF (Ship piece)         0007
Metroid                       0001

Don't forget to allow your enemies in enemy ID
Again, i'm not sure it's useful for you and it's possible you already know it  :^_^:

Cool design btw, blue haze is very cool on it. However, you have a little tile error, check the base of the highest slope, an linking element is missing between floor and slope.

Yup, see that error, D:< thought I took care of all of those!
EDIT: took care of the tiling error.....the Metroids are still the same, even thought I tried your solution.
EDIT2: I also have run into a interesting problem: since I put the metroid's in the first room, all of my shot's are charged shots....odd? I don't even have the charge beam either.

Wow, that a strange problem :)
Sadly, I havn't skills to help you in this case, I havn't the choice to advice you to post on Engine Works in the worst case (I know you don't really like when we leading you to EngWorks ).
This bug happens only in the landing site room or in another room after it ?

A_red_monk_called_Key

the metroid uses a lot of graphics, and so does the ship. i tried something similar with a metroid and trozo. it can't be done.

Metaquarius

OMG this guy is crazy, he's putting metroids right from the beginning of the game !!! Why not making them respawnable and invisible while you're at it !

Hoping that metroids, like in Final Stand, had a minimum of weakness and can be killed with basic weapons.

Quietus

Surely there's no harm in using them as normal enemies.  I'm sure it's possible to just change their damage type to only damage on contact, rather than life-sucking.  You could also slow them down, change their hitbox, etc.  They don't have to induce nightmares. :^_^:

Haha, your funny, and this made me crack up :3. No, to put your fear's to rest. I will not be using Metroid's in the first room. I have just been attempting to edit their palette, to help get the idea that THIS is called "dark Metroid," but it will not be the main point of the hack. :S. I WILL eventually figure out how to edit the Metroid's.

So did you just edit the metroid's using TLP to make them look like X-troids? That was a awesome hack btw.
