I have it. This video was displayed perfectly with Media Player 2 (very old) but with installed XVid codec.

Hi.  Let me clear up the CRE tile stuff sine Volta was mentioned.  I pulled the Redesign CRE into Volta before I asked Drew.  After asking him and getting a no from him, I removed all the CRE graphics from the rom.  however, they were not removed before the last demo was released 15 months ago so that is why they are there.

Now, those CRE slopes are still in Volta and in heavy usage.  I do not consider them stolen since technically all that had to be done to get them in slope format was shift the pixels in the original CRE graphics down to form a slope instead of a flat surface.  By which I mean it's something that anyone could have done, Drew just happened to be the first to do it.  The other CRE graphics I removed were the ones that were specifically drawn by him.  Since then I've drawn a few of my own CRE graphics to replace ones that I'd hoped to borrow from Redesign.  In fact, i think i had to convince Bloodsonic that I wasn't stealing from him because of similarities between my CRE and Revolution EX's CRE.

Hope that clears things up in regards to Volta.

haha, that's weird, but a very interesting concept. If it weren't so glitchy I could see it being used in a hack somewhere.

It's just because there's too much sprite stuff going on with that big ol statue and stuff. Put it in a room without enemies and there's no visual flicker at all.

I made an IPS Hack for everyone, who want´s a CRE styled like in REDESIGN

All Tiles are painted by me, ore were already in different grafic sets. i didn´t copy anything, so you can use it for free.

i need help to create this FILE :sad:  - smile doesn´t save (i use hacked rom and craete patch, than i choose clean rom but the ips file is 10 KB small - no change after patching)

If you've only made one or two minor changes, then that's probably about right.  Bear in mind that most full hacks when complete areonly 300-500k in size.

no, i changed the full CRE!

the program IPS XP patched TLP editor correct, but now it's just doing bullshit! (it asks me about 5x the ips patch to use; asks me the patch to use if i want make a NEW patch)

what's going on?

EDIT: DAMN! I DIDN´T COOSE MY ROM WITH THE READY CRE AND THAT FU*****, SILLY PROGRAM IPS XP REMOVED THE CHANGES OF MY HACK AND MADE A CLEAN ROM OF IT! ----> i could explode! (hours of work, putting the tiles together to the 16x16 CRE and now? all senseless) :cry:

Don't blame others of your own mistakes. Not even in this case, nor even in that way. Don't worry, everybody does something badly wrong someday. Besides, you can easily re-do it. If it was hours of work when you first made it, now you should be able to make it ~1 hour faster.

no, the problem is, i can´t make ips PATCHES. - not with smile; not with "IPS XP"

what´s going on? it makes the IPS file (10KB - nothing usefull in that pach) and a BAK file (56KB - includes the ips file i want to make), but it´s not finishing the ips! i tryed that with 3 smile versions!

Try using Lunar IPS. Make a new patch with it.

And i just realized this is in the Screenshots/Vids Thread, while this should be in Engine Works. (Or Completed Stuff if you really are releasing something) Well, i guess it's only a matter of time until someone moves this IPS stuff :razz:
And if you're gonna release custom graphics, release them as .gfx files. (And .tlp if they use a custom palette). NOT IPS!

Maybe, or you are doing something wrong. Make sure you use Lunar IPS this way when making a patch:
1. Open Lunar IPS (duh)
2. Click "Create IPS patch"
3. Browse for your CLEAN ROM!
4. After choosing your clean ROM, browse for the modified one
5. You know what to do now, right?
6. Done

To avoid going completely off-topic, i'm showing a cool transparency effect :yay:

That involves making the room in layer 2 and using the FX A/B options.

Edit: There's also a Chozo statue in the right side of the room. You just can't see it without shooting it :wink:

OK! It worked

Here is my new CRE for Hacks! you can use it for free, because all tiles were already in the game ore made/changed by me. This CRE gives much of the Redesign Atmosphere, without steeling Tiles form that Hack.

This is some impressive stuff. Does it work with other beams combined with it or are you making the player user only one beam at a time?

Unfortunately, if you combine this beam with plasma or spazer it looks ugly when the shot gets reflected.
It'd be too much coding to set the graphics up correctly,
so I'll go with the one-beam-at-a-time-idea.

Either that or you can make Havok so that you can't combine it with any other beam, but you still can combine the beams other than Havok. Seems a bit more usefull/logical/etc/because I can
