Well, informing it's kinda dead, I had a stupid attack one day and messed with the router and that some how fucked up my hard drive which means my DNS is invalid. Luckily we have 2 towers, so now I own the one we are using. Sorry to disappoint, I really loved attempting this though. It's just rather hard to hang onto when you're not 100% use to it like some games.

Edit: main reason for that, I forgot to add is, I lost all data on that tower. 3: I have no USB's either which is shit.

Normal routine would be to enter your routers setup page (normally 192.168.0.1 or similar), and reset all of the base settings (IP acquisition, DNS, etc.) to automatic, and reset your router.  Failing that, you could try resetting to the factory settings on the router?  Either way, it shouldn't stop you getting your hack from your computer, or, if your hack is online, getting them with the other (or another) computer.

That is if you're interested in continuing the hack, of course...

this thing, called Gameranger, I was using it to play online with a few friends and such. It kept coming up with a NAT error, and had to be fixed manually, because I couldn't host games. But when I tried to fix it from the admin panel on the router, cause that's where it said to do it. I had little mind then, but now I have experience. Long story short, I fucked something huge up and now my DNS won't read anything off the internet. gladly we have other computers or else my communication with the internet would be dead right now. Well, that or my dads laptop, which no trace of hacking can get done on it.

And Qiuetus: nah, Metroid hacking is what I'm more familiar with, it just feels right to hack Metroid. :3

Dude what your saying makes no sense at all, If you changed your DNS resolver on your router it would effect all computers connected to your network not just the one you did it from, Secondly That wouldn't effect anything to do with your computer or anything on any hard drive what so ever. If you need help fixing your internet or network problems i can do it for you, DNS errors are easy to fix for example just use google dns or let your router get the address from your isp. I'm still struggling to understand how you lost all the data on your hard drive and how it has anything to do with your network. The statement i messwith my router and it fucked up your hard drive which means your dns is invalid does NOT make any sense at all. The settings on your router are saved on the routers ROM not your computer. If your DNS is invalid you would not be able to get on to anything on the internet from any computer connected to your network. So please explain to me just what the fuck your going on about please.

I told you, and if I didn't, I'm telling you now, that it's hard to explain, considering this happened way way back, I think October or something. I've been using a new computer and a new router since then, so everything it fine. I don't know exactly what happened with it, but it's only with that one tower. I could collect my ROM data, but like I said, we have no usb's. Simple solution to buy one, but we're rather poor fuckers that live off a family allowance, cause my dad is retired. :P

Ok ok i still don't see the link and right now i don't care about that but if you want help recovering the data for it. As you said you could you just don't have a usb to copy it to. Which Also i just can't get my head round, If you now have a new router why can't you use your old computer with the data on and upload it somewere and retrieve it to your new computer. Or just install the old hard drive into your new computer. Any way I'm just going to leave it now. Sorry you lost your data.

I'm not as technological as I thought I was, or rather anyone else is, I prefer to just live and let be. So really, it's nothing to be 100% concerned about considering I'm more into Metroid than I am Zelda anyways. Thanks though.
