Dependence - help needed

I was unable to find what I needed on youtube, so I'm pleading for help here.

I'm stuck in the lower part of the prototourian, past the green gate, and can't find a way out (despite very thorough searching). Is there a passageway I am missing?

I'd hope a hack wouldn't require that glitch...

For that particular gate, it turns out you can open it from the right by jumping onto an invisible platform next to it, rolling into a ball, and balljumping while pressing left. Weird that the it opens via glitch... not sure why it would have been put in there in the first place if the intent wasn't to keep Samus from traveling through the room right to left...
