i agree after a couple dayz of seeing the odd banners pop up, i no longer want to see them.

if anybody is intersted i can make a banner of there game. just send me pics with the forground and background separate(its no thing only take 10 min. to make)

I'm not sure how people looking at that would get the impression that we hack Metroid games.  No disrespect to the man, but Kennon and a dragon means nothing to anybody looking at a banner. :O_o:

And yet, this has been the banner for Zelconst theme for a long while....



The only banner I might add. Zelconst theme gets no love. :<

It's rather too bad I haven't seen many applicable banners for use in the zelconst theme, because I'd totally use them over the strawberry banner.

I'm not sure whether or not English is your native language ( I seem to recall not), but 'digress' is not really correct here.  Normally you use it after you've been saying something, and then you temporarily drift toward something else.  You'd normally say something like:

"Palettes can be quite hard to get right." <--Talking about palettes.
"Few hackers seem to have a natural grasp of them." <--Still talking about palettes.
"Grime is one such example." <--Drifting slightly away from palettes, but still linked.
"If you look throughout Project Base, you'll see some excellent examples." <--As above.
"Which reminds me: I really must finish a run of Project Base." <--Digressing now.
"I digress.  Palettes: The trick is to make sure that your palettes blend well." <--Back to palettes.

My first language is indeed not English, but your post is pretty terrible in getting your right usage of the word across. I know what you mean though, but it's just that your quotes and references' to them are not exactly showing how to use the word better.

The word is pretty much only used in that scenario.  I don't recall ever hearing it used elsewhere.  The notes are there to point out when "I digress" is said, and are not relevant to what is being said.  You can see the point at which the speaker went off-topic, and it is immediately followed by the "I digress".  In short: Speak about one thing, stray to talking about something else, say "I digress", and get back to the original topic.

TBH, Quietus' description is a clear description of digression. Though, if English isn't your first language, I can see how it would be a bit difficult to grasp the concept.

So yeah, the banner is excellent, but I think the second sword should be replaced with something else; it looks a bit bland.

Threw this together to show my appreciation for people participating in the contest. It's not perfect, but I'm running out of ideas for it, and already been working on it for awhile. That random thing that's not from SM is the Metconst Monster, just kind of a random thing I threw in. Everything else was from screenshots in Contest hacks. Lots of subtle Easter-eggs in it.
