Just thought I'd at least give the Metroid II forum a little content. Anyway, feel free to explore these secret worlds; it's really fun.

I also know there's an editor for Metroid II, M2Edit, but I'll save that for another thread later.

M2Edit can hardly be described as an editor; it's really more of a conglomeration of colors.

I used to have alot of fun exploring secret worlds when I had this, especially the one just below the metroid hive.
I once stumbled upon one by accident in the save room of the first nest that has Zetas.

Sorry for bumping, but i found a pretty useful Debug mode cheat, wich allows you to get into the secret worlds much more easily.
Gameshark: 0101A0D0
Game-genie:  A02-52B-193
This will give you access to a debug Menu in the Pause screen.
With Left and right you can select the Ingame Items (Except for Beams). Just press A when selecting the item you want or want to remove.
Bit 0: Bombs
Bit 1: High Jump Boots
Bit 2: Screw Attack
Bit 3: Space Jump
Bit 4: Spring Ball
Bit 5: Spider Ball
Bit 6: Varia
With Up and Down you can select the Beam you use
#$00: Power Beam
#$01: Ice Beam
#$02: Wave Beam
#$03: Spazer
#$04: Plasma Beam
#$08: Missiles
Other Values lead to glitched beams, wich mostly behaves like the power beam, but deals no damage
You can save Everywhere using SELECT. This can lead to scrolling problems when using it at a Room Boundary (Which actually help discovering secret worlds!) Most of them I found are Junk or Shortcuts, but I found the hallway to the first alpha metroid in another tileset!
Also, you can change Missile count and Energy Container Count using B+ Up/Down for Missiles and B+Left/Right for Energy. Energy will ALWAYS refill when changed, Missiles ONLY when added new tanks. You can have infinite missiles by lowering the missile count under zero. It will work until you pickup a missile.
I will add pics later.

This site has very quickly become very relevant. The phase warping page is changing how we thought of speedrunning metroid 2, we now have routes for both 100% and any% in development actually utilizing the select glitch!
