A "few" changes made to my last submission ( please judge from the final one):

note: please don't copy my work ( not that I expect that from registered members) as it is going to be implemented in a future hack, don't be a n***** - registered as of 7/11/2011 1:27 ( athens time) pm - lol sorry, I know it sounds ridiculous but had to do this, I know you post yourselves large pieces of future hacks, but small pieces could be copied much easier and put in a hack. I go with allowing freely anyone to use anythings from my future hack after is it is released OFC.

Haha, what the crap? XD

Not only do I not think your quality is high enough to gather people to copy paste it, I honestly don't see anything done there that has not already been done before. :P

Not to mention this community hate people who copy pasta other peoples work.

Your fears are unfounded, and so is the use of your self-censored language. We have a rule against directly plagiarizing anything anyone makes anyway since that's not cool.

DSO

Hoping to get some feedback on my attempt to make a room feel more empty and atmospheric for the transition into a different area, not necessarily trying to win against the competition this week...

I am also going to enter as well, posting a room I've been working on recently.

KT JDDD

My 2 Cents.  If you don't like it, you don't have to agree.
Another Good Crateria room.  Big, but also a little roomy.  Nice color, easy to look at.  Not too confusing.

It should be Me and Webber credited to the room.  We both worked hard on it.  Still, I'm not voting for this as it is my own.  Although I do love what Webber has done to the details.

Not very impressive coming from Squishy.  I know he's done much better rooms.  At first glance, this looks like a boring re-palette.  Yes, some tiles were messed with, but it's not very noticeable.  Overall, a boring submission.

Very nice.  vanilla tileset, but still very impressive.  I like what you did with the chozo statues.  It's obviously working as more than one room.  Very creative.

Another boring room.  not much to say.  I don't see rooms like this very often.  The colors look nice.

If I lose to a room, this is the room I hope it is too.  There is a lot of detail in this room.  It's impressive without having to be big or humungous.  Worthy of a RoTW title.  Gets my vote.
Silver Skree

Hot damn! Excellent week, this one.

Project: I adore your palette here. The slightly green-tinted CRE, the dark red-tinted green grass, and the deep blue with the yellow BG rocks. It's all great, and the room really makes great use of it, with plenty of detailed rock formations and background gravy. This takes the cake this week.

KT: Wooooah. The screenshot is visual overload at first glance, and it's tough to distinguish anything from anything in there. I know it's ceres, but making use of some different palettes for some of that would help a lot. I can definitely dig the amount of effort to detail, though.

Squish: Wow. Brown sure does get used a lot for palettes, but seeing a really good one just never gets old. The tileset mixing is pretty sweet here, and I love what you did on some of the BG rocks, making another layer of rock appear to hang down. Definitely the runner-up this week.

Amph: You're off to a decent start. Keep trying and improving, you'll get up there before too long.

DSO: The spiked stalk is neat, but the room isn't meaty enough to compete with the others this week with just one screen.

Jamie: This would take 3rd for me this week. Your BG work is solid and cool, but there is room for improvement (read: more detail). I really like your doors and the elevator platform there. You did some good work with those bricks around the room, but it could stand to be less flat in places. Aside from that, the room is good and creative, but the foreground could also use some more attention in the behind/under-ground tiles. Also, speaking of that, what's up with those fadeout tiles behind your doors? I hope you don't see that ingame, because that's some serious nasty cutoff.

I had a hard time deciding if I should vote for squishy or jamie this week. :p

Also, I thought you stopped hacking squishy! ;<D
Although Crateria isn't my favorite area, your room for it's purpose is pretty decent and it makes sense as a whole, rather than being totally random rocky formations, maybe one of the best combos possible for these simplistic areas.

hah, although you didn't resize it or so before uploading ( so it appears half "eaten"), I saw it as a whole, and it it's a very interestingly designed escape room, eerie, a very nice combination of everything and functional at the same time. However, keep in mind that these areas are by nature so illogical appearing, as we look on things from a higher scale, without this meaning that someone shouldn't occupy his time with it.

Nicely done for it's purpose as a room undoubtedly, and the created by you tileset makes it look tons better, however having seen previous works of you aswell it isn't as impressive

I put some decent effort into it, not gonna be voted as it's mine, I like how it resulted as a whole, where everything has a connection to another part of the area

I've seen by chance other rooms by DSO, and that according to the rest of his progress seems to be just a quickly made room for the contest, sorry

Although there have been larger submissions, that one according to it's size, has a great atmosphere and is greatly designed, would love that to be seen in a hack

KT JDDD
(Help if possible with the correct code form, how to make it appear as spoiler:X, thanks)

No, fuck that place, it seems even a few users who don't tell me how they feel hate me. I'd rather hang around people who don't back stab me.

Project & Squishy, those rooms have an official feel. Something you'd see released in a decent game back in the day.

KT, way too much going on in that room. It's much easier to appreciate detail & aesthetics when there's focal points.
A great effort, but subtle shifts in spanning room to room design helps incorporate it all in larger ways.

Jamie get's my vote. I'd be even more attracted to that room if there were no tech-pipes or doors.

ProjectXVIII

Wrecked Ship rooms? In MY Room of the Week?

It's more likely than you think...

(Don't mind the BOSS room and the one to its right, they're just placeholders in that room since they actually use another tileset)

Parabox

I never really liked 4-tile wide indoor doorcaps. I don't like indoor doorcaps regardless, but this type the least. I don't know how others feel, though.

EDIT: Fix'd

squishy_ichigo

OR get this, just take a pic of the room, without the bts, and replace that pic with the new one.

Quietus

DS, the item pod stuck in the floor looks really odd / bad, and you also have strange blue stuff behind your girder above the door.  Was the latter intentional?

The latter? ... The blue stuff, I don't see any blue stuff besides the doorcaps and the Kraid aliens.

EDIT: Nvm.

Quietus

I'm on about the tiles right above the right-hand door.
