The 'Redesign' set for Crateria was all I had to explore, unless I'm missing something obvious, so I can't comment on the Redesigniness of the others. :heheh:

Well it was only that set that was used for the demo seeming as the demo takes place rather close to the surface.  As you get deeper into the planet (Areas that will be opened up upon the next release) the sets will change so don't worry too much about that.

An updated version of the demo will be released soon.  I'm going to transfer everything over to a fresh clean ROM which should make it a little more stable and fix those enemy glitches and whatnot.  This will also fix a few of the rooms that keep giving me a subscript error...hopefully.  The next release of the demo will be a lot better as all the bugs and glitches will be fixed. (I hope)  I'll keep you all posted.

Alright...After a long break, Eternity is back on track.  All the rooms have been moved to a fresh ROM and I will be fixing all the enemies and PLMs soon.  Just wanted to give you all a heads up.  Thank you.

Hmm i hope you didn't make wall jumping boots did you cause thats the only thing i hate about redesign. anyways keep it up say is it a mini half or full hack?

Wall jump boots were awesome I just hated how drew severely limited where you could walljump and upped the "speed of samus after she walljumps" to hell

I believe the idea behind the speed increase was to restrict movement in areas that you weren't intended to go yet.  All areas that you were expected to go had nice evenly spaced walls for you to wall-jump off.  This was to encourage the acquisition of the Hi-Jump, which made wall-jumping much, much easier.  Besides, if it's offered within the early stages of the game, then not having it for all of five minutes is hardly worth noting. :^_^:

Wall-jump boots are NOT in this hack.  However, the gravity and speed of the wall-jumps has been changed to make it just slightly more difficult but nothing too bad.  If you played the early demo and went back for missiles after killing the Torizo you would have had to wall-jump to reach the door that was previously locked.

I honestly didn't notice any real difference in performance even with the High-Jump Boots, except that you maybe needed less overall jumps. That didn't make matters better if it was the wall-jumping itself that was giving you headaches.

I'm interested in seeing how this hack will play and feel when all is said and done, however.

The screenshots look very good. I sort of agree with Mantra, after seeing how many hacks have the pipes streaking through Crateria for no reason (and thus removing them all from my own works, rofl) it's getting a bit predictable when one views Cratera screenshots. However! Your level design intrigues me and that's one bitchin' map. Gonna download the game and play it on Homebrew, will comment later.

Well that demo is really buggy and outdated.  I do not plan on releasing a new one until I have the second boss in the game and all the bugs and glitches up to that point worked out.

Yeah.  I really didn't want to see Eternity die.  Especially not after all the work that's been put into it.  But right now my main focus is to get the level design completely finished for Atlas and then I'm going to go through and revamp some of the rooms the best that I can with some new designs I've been using lately.  Once that's done, I can move on to the next area and begin working toward getting the second boss in the game.  I may or may not release another demo.  I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Been doing a little revamping of the old rooms.  Updated Screenshots:




Not really too much of a change.  I just thought the rock layer looked very bland and needed depth.  I will be making changes like this to all of the rooms and I will post updated screens as more develops.
