I have no criticism for that room it's perfect
i'd say it's quite far from perfect, as i could have had better plant-life and filler, but thanks so much! :awesome:

i guess palettes (for me) are the most challenging part of making rooms and such.
from now on, i'll be doing more peer-review type stuff with anyone that wants to help me make good palettes.

Qactis

? I presume the weird mutated bubbly growth is the result of a broken container similar to the ones on the bottom of the room somewhere. Other than that, it's just a boring old crystal-filled rock cavern. Going by this logic, and also considering this is ten times better than any vanilla zero mission room I can remember (IMO, inb4 offended), I would have no problem running through this room in a hack

Zhs2

I'd have to agree. It's been three weeks since passar's room submission. Christ.

Charmander106

I guess I can try again...

voting charmander this week.
very nice addition to the stock crateria tiles.
love every bit of it, even if the palette is unchanged.

sorry for kind-of killing rotw guys. :O_o:

Quietus

Webmander's room is the usual visual sex, but I'm a lover of colour, so I'm going with passarbye this week.

Scyzer

I would vote for chamander, but those pipes make absolutely no sense to me. It looks like whoever build them put a retard in charge, and they just put pipes wherever they thought would be funny.

Quietus

It does seem to be becoming a bit of a faux pas.

Parabox

Charmander's looks like Redesign in a different palette.

so it's saturday, or technically sunday I guess. What ever, the point is rotw has yet to be reset. But I think I might as well just toss a room up cause there has been so little rotw-ing this past while.
It's not a great room, just a thing.

There are space pirates in the room as well, locked door, missile tank, stuff like that.

First room I've made in a while.

Your room doesn't seem to be viewable by the rest of us, Benki. May I suggest dropbox?

Does it work now?

Zhs2

Yes. That's a lot of empty space on the left, by the way.

Weterr123

Shadow, that room looks awesome!

There is a little bit of empty space, that is because I used 910 of 912 of the data limit. Room is blue scrolled, so I might wipe the bottom two lines and fill in the BG a little more, but for a RotW contest, I figured the bottom needed filled in to help offset the repeating top.

Quietus

It looks blurry.  Have you filtered it?

I made the image twice as big as it originally was, which is the reason for that.

Photobucket is to blame. Dropboxed for maximum non-effect.

Quietus

Hmm, maybe it's just me, but it still looks filtered.  Are you sure it's not just where you've resized it, and the resize has defaulted to bilinear or something?

snarfblam

It's not just you. It is filtered. Unscaled is best. (If we need to zoom in, it's not that hard.) If you insist on scaling, use nearest neighbor.

Qactis
Samus might not be too pleased when she walks in and sees what is in this room :O
Qactis for me this week.

Mst could have done a lot better though
