It's pretty obvious by now that this project has been iced for an indeterminate amount of time. I've had other stuff going on, and I've also decided to wait until Project Base itself is finished before even considering a full hack based on it. Even then, the idea's become less appealing over time in favor of others (which I'm keeping secret from everyone but a select few). That said, if an admin wants to delete this board or merge everything into a single topic or something so there's one less useless board displayed on the index, I don't mind. I'm going to post the IPS file for what all was made of this hack, which is little more than a physics overhaul, four or five rooms and some new palettes/enemies. Feel free to pick it apart and take whatever you want. It's not in a playable state; the best you can do is QuickMet with all equipment and explore the rooms if you feel like it.

I think it's safe to assume that this has been canceled. Maybe years from now when I feel like there's nothing more I can accomplish, I'll start over with a clearer head, by which time I'll hopefully have advanced enough not to need to beg people for all of the ASM it would need. I've learned so much since I started this hack that most of what's in it already feels outdated, and developing two major hacks concurrently wasn't going so well. Sorry if I wasted anybody's time with all of this.

Tilesets 1 and 2 of this IPS might be of particular interest to people because of how massive they are. If anybody wants a patch that just addes these two tilesets to the game, let me know and I'll make one. Same goes for the additional enemies added to the game.

Sorry you feel that way Grime. :cry: I've been looking forward to PB for a while now; at the edge of my seat, biting my nails at the suspense of another version being released. I honestly hope this project wont be forgotten any time soon. This was starting to look too good to die just yet.

The fullhack is, for now. I believe progress is still being made on the aesthetic side.

Perhaps you should re-read that answer, man. PB the SM visual makeover is apparently still going; PB the SM full game hack is either dead or postponed indefinitely.

I might have to rip some of your tileset. I need to get back on the ball, or my hack might suffer the same fate.
