[spoiler=small rant]Ok, so it's no secret I quit hacking.

Aegis ago, I was working on a hack called Rainbow City. It was going pretty good but then I got bored/distracted and other things came and went. Before it did though, I had sent a patch to my testers.  This is that patch (ie. one of them)

This is a stand alone game, in which all items are obtainable. It's one area, the only area in the game that I had actually completed, Plumber Hills. This area is completely explorable. The items found here are not where they would have been at in what was to be the final product, but are placed there so you can 'complete' this hack.

Also of note, recently me and Sadi had been working to Rainbow City, starting over from scratch. She has all of that new stuff, and I will not release that. That is up to her.

Without further ado.... see attached file!

OMG I love it! I love when people do crossovers such as this. This reminds me of a hack for the NES version; Metroid Adventure (I think that's what it's called). Samus was replaced by Link and all the enemy's were replaced by various Mario characters. You turned into Kirby when you entered morph ball mode. Krys might like the game because of that.

The only problem was that Metroid Adventure had nothing different about it aside from the graphics, so it was a bit of a letdown... >_>;

This, however, is pretty cool. Fuck you, squishy, you quitter you >:(

Wow I love it.  Although when I first started playing it I kept trying to jump on top of the enemies to kill them lol.

I just now decided to play this one. Thank you for letting us have at least this, man. It's cool as shit, and some parts are seriously tricky, hehe. :) I REALLY hope this can be picked up and continued; it's almost too cool *not* to eventually complete IMO.

Edit to say that finding that morph ball took a good bit. I went through a lot to keep going up and to the left, up to what appears to be a castle, before I even found that damned ball, LOL.

This is really awesome!
You say all items are obtainable, but not in this game, right?
I've managed to find:

-9 Missles
-6 Super Missles
-3 Power Bombs
-Morph Ball
-Morph Ball Bombs..
-Speed Booster
-Gravity Suit

And I've found... 4 sets of yellow 'can't get through' blocks..

Also, how do you get through here:

squishy_ichigo

apparently springball was blocked off for some odd reason I have no idea about. So I fixed it, and its .1 on the first post.  Go nuts.

Lunaria

SEE, LOOK PEOPLE, HE DOES HACK! :O

LIAR!

Yonowaaru

MY PLAN HAS WORKED! I HAVE MADE SQUISHY HACK ONCE AGAIN!

It's too bad this isn't being continued, because it really is great. The way the exploration is setup reminds me more of the NES Metroid in that you have a ton of areas you can explore (in this case all of the warp pipes) but they are all within a confined area and it creates more of a maze that constantly loops around on itself than a defined path like the original Super has.

At the moment I've found pretty much everything but the Speed Booster, based on the list Yonowaaru put up. I did manage to find an E-Tank in a pretty well hidden spot as well, and there are three places that I know there are items but can't get to without SB, so there is still more to find in here. Only found two areas that are blocked off, each of them on the far ends of the map, so if there are supposed to be two more transition areas I haven't found yet it could explain why I can't find SB yet either.

But yeah, even if it is only one area it's still pretty fun.

So for a hard item count, I have: 1 E-Tank, 9 Missiles, 3(I think?) Supers, 4 PBs, Morph, Bombs, Spring Ball, and Gravity

Yonowaaru

Speed Booster is hidden near a very small room in the eastern part of the map. That should be enough, I think.

Yep, found it immediately once I went over that way. Knew there was something fishy about that room the first time I got there, but I didn't think to look in that direction once I was inside, heh. Thanks for the tip.

Now to try and get these four items behind SB blocks.

Edit: So after exploring with the Speed Booster, my final item count comes to this:

1 E-Tank
9 Missiles
5 Super Missiles
5 Power Bombs

Morph Ball
Spring Ball
Bombs
Speed Booster
Gravity Suit

I know where another missile expansion and power bomb expansion are located, but I can't pull off the SB tricks required to get to them, so I think I'm done at this point. Never did find more than two blocked off transition areas (the castle area and in the far eastern part of the map) so if there are any more I somehow missed them during all of my exploration. Sounds like I also missed a super missile expansion as well if Yono's item count is accurate, but I never saw another item block that I can think of along the way.

Yonowaaru

Well, one of those was the blockade before Spring Ball which Squishy already fixed; the other one is a long way down, towards the cave.

SpaceJump

Different and great hack!

Now can someone point me to where the first Super Missiles are?
